About these pages

These pages are hosted by Netscape's Site Central, which enables Ron to update them using any computer on the internet. That is also the reason to keep the layout quite simple. For example: the menu on the left has been build using an HTML table instead of some nice interactive graphics or Java applets, as using such table allows Ron to add new items without having the need for some special software.

To make sure Ron provides you with some news even if he cannot afford to (or does not want to...) stay at an internet cafe for a long time, a former colleague has access to these pages as well. Of course, the main advantage of having two writers is that either of them can refer to the other when someone would complain about the content... Still, please feel free to send your comments to Arjan at avbentem@hetnet.nl.

These frames...

You will have noticed frames like this one while browsing this site.

Unless stated otherwise, the text inside such frames has been added by Ron's ghostwriter.

The header above is generated using some JavaScript, and may, of course, not be the exact location of Ron's whereabouts. The day counter does not account for any timezone differences. Doesn't that make you wonder if it is updated at midnight?

The pages have been tested against Internet Explorer 5. As they rely on frames, JavaScript and Style Sheets, the pages may not appear as expected in other browsers.

Note that http://travel.to/ronvermaas will also get you to these pages. Ron's other page, http://www.gironet.nl/home/rvermaas will not be updated.
